Dr Brian Yecies is an Associate Professor in Communication and Media at the University of Wollongong. He researches and teaches on transnational film and digital media with an emphasis on culture, policy, and convergence in Asia.
Yecies is a past Korea Foundation Research Fellow and a recipient of competitive research grants from the Academy of Korean Studies, Asia Research Fund, and Australia-Korea Foundation. Through these competitive grant projects he has become an experienced researcher and project team leader with a productive publication track record. He has longstanding networks of industry, government, and non-government contacts in Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
